Unlocking Reliable Growth for a Well-run Agency

When every department passes inspection, but growth still won't budge, the solution exists in the margins.

Opportunity

The Briteweb team approached Promethean Research to help determine why it was struggling to generate repeatable revenue, despite having many best practices in place.

Briteweb is the kind of agency most founders are trying to build: a well-run shop doing great work for clients while providing great careers for employees.

They were B-Corp-certified, had well-defined ICPs, strong leadership, a talented team, clear positioning, and delivered real client outcomes. By every internal measure, the agency was well-run.

They came to Promethean because their growth felt episodic; good, strong quarters followed soft ones, with no clear pattern. The leadership team wanted to understand why a well-built agency wasn't delivering the predictability its fundamentals suggested. This type of issue can be incredibly hard to diagnose. Nothing was obviously failing, which is exactly why the drag had persisted.

Briteweb's leadership recognized that the answer wouldn't come from another internal review. They would need an outside perspective to solve this.

Solution

Most diagnostics look for what’s broken, but we also look for what’s disconnected. It’s a different type of exercise, but it’s exactly what Briteweb needed.

We evaluated their entire revenue generation strategy and system.

Everything from vision, to org. structure, to KPIs, ICP, funnels, pricing, service mix, and more. While each component was strong on its own, we found a gap in alignment. Each department had developed a coherent plan based on its own reading of the priorities. There wasn’t a single source of truth for the agency as a whole, or a way for the departments to sync on their goals and processes.

We worked with leadership to design and build that connective layer. A single growth strategy that translated leadership’s vision into an aligned system that allowed the departments to work in concert with one another. One that was accessible and usable by the entire team.

Growth

Implementing this missing piece allowed each team’s efforts to compound, rather than offset. It gave the talented team a unified structure to grow from. This unlocked the reliably stable growth management was seeking when they approached Promethean.

"Thank you for doing this work with us! This information is insightful and helps point us in the right direction of what we need to do."
