A detailed look into how digital shops operate

This is completely redesigned survey exploring how digital agencies grow, operate, and thrive in a shifting market. To accomplish this, we will be asking detailed questions about your firm. Expect to spend 30min completing this survey.

Having the following data handy will make it much easier to complete the survey:

General company info

  • Headquarter location
  • Services offered
  • Industries served
  • Leadgen sources

Financial data

  • Number of clients and average tenure (roughly)
  • Pricing models (retainer, time and materials, etc.)
  • Average hourly rates (currently and last year)
  • Revenue for last year (minus any media/ad passthrough spend)
  • Year/year percent revenue growth in 2022 from 2021
  • Total operating expenses for 2022
  • Net profit in 2022
  • Cash on hand at the end of 2022

Team data

  • Number of employees (at the start of this year and at the start of 2022)
  • How many employees left voluntarily and involuntarily in 2022
  • Utilization rate for production employees (if tracked/available)
